After a couple of years of strumming my guitar in the attic with an occasional visit down to the neighborhood park, I suddenly decided that I needed to get out there and spread a little love around...

 

Actually it was the discovery of a cool website, www.openmikes.org that spurred this determination... this website maps out coffeehouses and bars with Open Mikes all over the United States.  I suddenly realized that I could no longer use the excuse that "there's no place for me to play my music..."

 

I made a couple of calls, and found a spot that sounded interesting "Java Port City" down in nearby Harrisburg, headed down there to check it out...
